When I share these stories
Told from Mom’s point of view
It’s often met with judgement
Since it feels so far off cue
Who would live this type of life?
Why add children to the mix?
Who would date a person that believes meth does the trick?
It’s easy enough to judge someone
Based on a tainted track
It’s harder to look deep inside
Where your own skeletons are staring back
We all live in a hasty haze
With clouds of days gone by
And before we deliver verdicts
Take a beat and empathize
